Emaux ends the SPH pool pump

Emaux has ended production of the highly successful standard SPH series of swimming pool pumps in order to transition to highly efficient, eco-friendly variable-speed and dual-speed pumps. The shift aligns with modern pool regulations and consumer demand for lower energy consumption, quieter operation, and reduced operational costs.
The primary reasons for this transition include:

• Strict Energy Regulations: Upgrading technology to meet updated energy efficiency mandates (such as strict U.S. DOE regulations) effectively phased out legacy single-speed motors.

• Energy Savings: Variable-speed models can cut pump power consumption by up to 85%, dramatically lowering electricity bills for pool owners.

• Lower Noise and Wear: Lower RPM speeds result in vastly quieter operation and less mechanical stress on filters, seals, and connected plumbing.

Current Replacements
To replace the SPH line, Emaux now primarily features advanced dual-speed and variable-speed alternatives that offer identical plumbing dimensions for easy retrofitting:

• SPH-II Series: The 2-speed evolution of the original SPH line, allowing users to toggle between High (2850 rpm) and Low (1450 rpm) speeds.
• E-Power / EcoFlow Variable Speed Series: Fully programmable, smart-compatible pumps that automatically optimize the flow rate.

Explore the full range of current-generation replacements and retrofit pumps directly on the Emaux Water Technology catalog.
