COOKIES
An HTTP cookie (also called a web cookie, Internet cookie, browser cookie) is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user's computer by the user's web browser while the user is browsing. Cookies have been used since 1996 and were designed to be a reliable mechanism for websites to remember stateful information (such as items added in the shopping cart in an online store) or to record the user's browsing activity (including which pages were visited in the past).
Other kinds of cookies perform essential functions in the modern web. Perhaps most importantly, authentication cookies are the most common method used by web servers to know whether the user is logged in or not, and which account they are logged in with. Without such a mechanism, the site would not know whether to send a page containing sensitive information, or require the user to authenticate themselves by logging in.
GDPR
The GDPR is a European Union law affecting websites that target users in member countries of the European Union. The SwimmingPoolsThailand website only targets Internet users in Thailand. Our website is nevertheless GDPR compliant but please be advised that business and consumer laws in Thailand can be very different from those in Europe, the UK, USA, and Australia.
Our cookies do not record any personal information or any information that can be used to identify you. They are encrypted and perfectly safe. Any credit card information used for payment of our products and services does not pass through our server and are not stored on it. Cookies are used on all third-party payment gateways, but they are not ours and not connected with us.
In other words, without cookies, an on line shop simply can not work.
European law (GDPR) requires that all websites targeting European Union member states gain "informed consent" from users before storing non-essential cookies on their device.
Registered users can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
