PVC plumbing accessories for swimming pools. CAUTION Never use standard grade (8.5) blue pipe for filtration/pumping circuits. Always use heavy duty 13.5 grade PVC piping and accessories. Do not use standard PVC pipe glue - always use HV or HD grade. It is more viscous, takes longer to cure, and creates a strong bond. New pipework should not be put under pressure for several hours. At SPT Pools™ we wait for 12 hours (overnight) before testing the plumbing of a new pool. Most general hardware stores do not stock HD glue.
