The Harvia Globe electric heater contains a massive amount of stones. Thanks to the grate-like outer shell, each bather can adjust the nature of the steam: soft when throwing water onto the side of the heater and sharp when throwing water straight on top of the stone pillar. Cilindro is impressive to both look at and experience. Harvia Sauna heaters, made in Finland, have a world wide reputation. 

The optional HPC safety railings are a good way to increase bathing safety around the Harvia Cilindro heater. The safety railings consist of four wooden arches attached to each other and the sauna heater with stainless steel mounts. Made of Fuma -wood, the railings add a stylish and pleasant touch to the decoration scheme of the sauna.

In the Harvia heater, special peridotite (granite like) stones fill the entire body cavity and are directly heated by stainless steel elements.  The stones filter the 1400° F heat and emit a soft, pleasant aura of high heat rather than the harsh blast of unfiltered elements. 

The directly heated stones also produce the best steam when water is ladled over them, to raise the Sauna's humidity level.  In addition, the stones retain heat, reducing on/off cycling of the heater for greatest efficiency and ecomomy. Harvia heaters take about 25 to 30 minutes to heat up the Sauna room .  After the initial heat up, water may be poured on the heaters to provide  steam.
