Emaux salt meter. Accurate reading up to 70.00 ppt (70,000 ppm).
This is a genuine salinity meter with temperature compensation. Not to be confused with cheap TDS meters.
Delivery: approx. 3 - 4 business days.
Not to be confused with cheap TDS meters that are not compensated for salt and temperature.
Only use with genuine TRS POOL SALT in the blue bag. Salt in the red or orange bags contains additives that will give a false reading and will damage your chlorinator cell.

TDS vs Saltmeter
Total dissolved solids are normally discussed only for freshwater systems, as salinity includes some of the ions constituting the definition of TDS.
TDS meters are not compensated for salt and will read all the solids and do not compensate for temperature.
The Emaux salinity meter is designed to measure only the salt and it compensates for temperature.
Total dissolved solids (TDS) is a measure of the dissolved combined content of all inorganic and organic substances present in a liquid in molecular, ionized, or micro-granular (colloidal sol) suspended form.
The general definition is that the solids must be small enough to survive filtration through a filter with 2-micrometer (nominal size, or smaller) pores.
